One hundred years ago
In the summer of 1914
On the day 4th august Britain
Entered the cold days and dark nights of war
History names it the Greatest War
Young men and fathers left there place
To take their stance on another soil in a foreign place
Their place now was the cold day’s dark nights of what history
Calls the greatest war that took place
Young men and fathers fought side by side
Repelling the dangers from the other side
Many soldiers died in that place
Lost souls remain in that place
On the day 11 November 1918
What history called the Great War came to an end
Brothers in arms could begin there mend
We will never forget
Them
And always remember
On the 11th November
Remember
The great men
Who would never surrender?
For you and I would never
After leave our place to
Take stance in a foreign place
